About This Role

The Registered Nurse - Ambulatory (Pediatrics Cardio) role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This position is ideal for nurses who are passionate about pediatric care and have strong collaboration skills.

• Location: Bay Shore, NY
• Schedule: Part-time

• Conduct patient interviews and assess health status across various systems.
• Communicate and document patient’s physiologic and psychological health status.
• Develop individualized patient outcome statements and goals.
• Coordinate the use of supplies, equipment, and medication for patient care.
• Implement and maintain safety precautions during patient care.
• Provide emotional support and discharge instructions to patients and families.
• Collaborate with care team members and physicians on treatment plans.
• Administer medications safely and educate patients on drug interactions.
• Participate in patient and family education and evaluate its effectiveness.
• Perform related duties as required.

• Education:
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN within five years of job entry.
• Experience:
  • Pediatrics/Cardiology experience preferred.

  • Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
  • PALS and BLS certifications as needed.
