Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Cradiology

About This Role

The Registered Nurse in Ambulatory Cardiology at Northwell Health is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in collaboration and possess strong clinical judgment.

• Location: Bay Shore, NY
• Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status through interviews and comprehensive health assessments.
• Evaluate patient’s psychosocial health status and document care plans.
• Develop criteria for measuring patient outcomes and establish individualized patient goals.
• Formulate and document the plan of care, coordinating with health team members.
• Implement the plan of care, ensuring safety precautions and effective communication.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and document outcomes for performance improvement.
• Collaborate with care team members and assist physicians during treatments.
• Provide wound care and manage pressure ulcers (Stages I–IV).
• Administer medications safely and educate patients on drug interactions.
• Participate in patient and family education, ensuring understanding and follow-up care.

Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing;
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

• Experience: Inpatient experience preferred.
• Experience: Critical care experience preferred.

  Certifications:
  
  Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date.
