RN ICU - FlexStaff

The RN ICU - Contract Flex Staff position involves providing comprehensive nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU setting. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in high-pressure environments and are skilled in patient assessment and care coordination.

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition.
• Assess level of pain and pain management.
• Communicate/document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Assess patient’s psychosocial health status.
• Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
• Identify cultural/ethnic requirements to reduce anxiety and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

• Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
• BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
