DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) – FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES & EXCEPTIONAL TIME OFF!
Full-Time, Hourly $19.00 – $23.10/hour ($28.50 - $34.65/hour weekends)
Average Hourly Rate for DSP Drivers (including weekend shift): $24.50 – $26.95/hour
Average Hourly Rate for DSP Non-Drivers (including weekend shift): $22.17 – $24.38/hour
Shifts Available- Applicants must be available to work a 12‑hour shift on Wednesday, an additional weekday, and either Saturday or Sunday (7 am – 7 pm/8 am – 8 pm).
- Position is a floater; may be assigned to multiple Brightway sites with children or adults.
- Daytime shifts provide premium pay (1.5× hourly rate) on weekends.
As a DSP, you will support individuals with disabilities in their daily lives, providing personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings. You will foster independence, promote social inclusion, and build meaningful relationships. A valid NYS driver’s license for 18+ months with a clean history and completion of Brightway Transportation Orientation is required; otherwise, a lower rate starting at $19.00/hour will be offered.
Responsibilities- Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings.
- Foster independence by helping individuals develop life skills and make choices.
