Jr. Math Teacher St. Raphael School

Eighth Grade Homeroom Teacher / 7th–8th Grade Mathematics Teacher – Saint Raphael School | Full-Time | Cleveland, Ohio

Saint Raphael School is seeking a dedicated, faith-filled, and qualified Eighth Grade Homeroom Teacher to provide mathematics instruction for seventh and eighth grade students while serving as the eighth grade homeroom teacher.

The successful candidate will foster a Christ‑centered learning environment, promote academic excellence, and support students’ spiritual, social, and emotional development in accordance with the mission of Saint Raphael School and the educational standards of the Diocese of Cleveland and the State of Ohio.

• Teach seventh- and eighth-grade mathematics in alignment with Diocese of Cleveland and State of Ohio standards.
• Serve as the eighth-grade homeroom teacher and assume direct responsibility for students throughout the school day.
• Maintain the daily schedule, including arrival no later than 8:20 a.m. and dismissal no earlier than 4:00 p.m.
• Fulfill assigned student supervision duties.
• Moderate at least one student club and one all‑school activity.
• Lead eighth‑grade Capstone projects.
• Assist with high school shadow days, applications, letters of recommendation, and eighth‑grade activities.
• Help coordinate the Baccalaureate Mass, Awards Ceremony, and Graduation.
• Participate in Professional Learning Communities, staff meetings, and professional development.
• Assist with OCSAA planning and implementation.
• Attend and participate in Parent‑Teacher Conferences, Open Houses, Curriculum Nights, Christmas and Spring programs, and sacramental events.
• Participate as a designated junior‑high faculty member in the annual seventh‑grade Damascus Leadership Camp.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by the principal.

• Valid State of Ohio teaching license.
• Virtus certification.
• Current BCII and FBI background checks.
• Must have or be actively enrolled in a Diocese of Cleveland Religion Certification cohort.
• Ability to support the Catholic mission and educational philosophy of Saint Raphael School.

Salary: $37,450, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
