Job Role: Electrical Supervisor

Location: HMP Hollesley Bay

Salary: £46,775.42 per annum +5% additional for recognition of weekend working

Contract: Permanent, full time – 39 hours per week, Monday to Sunday

We are seeking an NVQ level 3 qualified Electrician with experience leading teams to join our team at HMP Hollesley Bay, a category D adult/male prison. • Supervise and lead electrical staff, ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard.
• Coordinate electrical works on commercial or industrial sites in accordance with BS7671 requirements.
• Manage projects, schedule tasks, and allocate resources effectively.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain documentation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for electrical matters within the maintenance team.

• Five years’ experience as an electrician or equivalent.
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical, building services.
• Experience of supervising staff.
• Full driving licence, preferably with D1.
• C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• Certificate in BS7671 – The Requirements for Electrical Installations, 17th or 18th Edition.
• Good health & safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
