Regulatory Compliance Specialist

You’ll interpret intricate compliance requirements, develop packaging and labeling strategies, manage multi‑jurisdictional product registrations, and serve as a trusted liaison with regulatory agencies and external partners.
Responsibilities- Manage complex chemical registrations, compliance and notifications across multiple jurisdictions.
- Develop and implement regulatory product profiles and strategies and procedures for packaging and labeling compliance for regional application within global best practices.
- Respond to formulation compliance concerns.
- Interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements to product development and lifecycle management.
- Interpret ambiguous country‑specific regulatory requirements, develop organizational positions in areas of uncertainty, and influence commercial decision‑making to reduce regulatory risk while enabling business growth.
- Lead the preparation and submission of complex regulatory reports, documents and filings.
- Prepare regulatory documents, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Conduct regulatory risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Act as an internal regulatory compliance expert and provide advice as necessary.
- Coach and educate junior team members and/or other departments on regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, environmental sciences, chemical engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5–8 years of regulatory compliance experience; CPG and global compliance experience preferred.
- Deep knowledge of chemical registrations and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Comprehensive understanding of product and labeling regulations and packaging compliance.
- Ability to interpret complex or ambiguous regulatory requirements and develop defensible positions.
- Experience conducting regulatory risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
- Ability to interpret scientific data and translate it into regulatory documentation.
- Strong communication skills with regulatory agencies, internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of product chemistry and product lifecycle management.
- Authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
- 5–10% domestic and international travel.
Salary: $85,000–$115,000 per year plus 10%–15% profit‑sharing contribution to retirement account. Salary will be based on experience, skills, and market data.
