Senior Fund Accountant BN Credit Fund

Coda Saerch is partnering with a global alternative asset manager with $200 billion AUM with offices located in NJ. The team is seeking to hire a Senior Fund Accountant who will play a key role in the financial reporting, fund operations, and accounting oversight of complex credit vehicles, working closely with investment professionals, operations, and external service providers.

This is a high-visibility role within a premier platform investing across direct lending, opportunistic credit, and structured solutions.

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for private credit funds, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of NAV reporting
• Review and analyze fund financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and partner capital allocations
• Manage relationships with third-party fund administrators, including review of deliverables and resolution of discrepancies
• Perform detailed reviews of investment activity, including loan originations, repayments, PIK interest, and fee income
• Ensure proper accounting treatment for complex credit instruments, including CLOs, structured products, and bespoke lending arrangements
• Support the preparation of investor reporting, including capital account statements and performance metrics
• Assist with quarterly valuations in collaboration with deal teams and valuation committees
• Coordinate and support the annual audit process, including preparation of supporting schedules and responding to auditor inquiries

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
• 4+ years of experience in fund accounting or Big 4, preferably within private credit, private equity, or alternative asset management
• Strong understanding of investment accounting concepts, including accruals, fair value measurements, and waterfall calculations
• Experience working with fund administrators and overseeing outsourced accounting functions
• Familiarity with complex credit products (e.g., direct lending, distressed debt, structured credit) preferred
