Responsibilities- Dispensing and compounding medications using pharmaceutical care skills.
- Maintaining records requested by regulations and departmental policy.
- Providing drug information to patients, nurses, and prescribers.
- Consulting with prescribers as needed.
- Managing and supervising Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Clerks.
- Preparing intravenous products using aseptic technique, including manipulating needles and syringes.
- Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy.
- Collaborating with nurses, technicians, aides, physicians, and other health care professionals.
- Ensuring compliance with safety guidelines (MSDS available for hazardous chemicals).
- Meeting physical requirements, including standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, and handling sharp instruments.
- Education:
BS in Pharmacy. - Experience:
Hospital/clinical pharmacy experience preferred. - License:
Registered Pharmacist (RPh) licensed in New Jersey.
