In performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; dust, airborne particles, loud noises and vibration. The employee will be standing for long periods of time, exposed to high noise levels, required to climb stairs and move equipment. The noise level in the work environment is loud;

ear and eye protection is required and other personal protective equipment may be required depending on job duties.

• Must prepare and organize (before shift starts), operate, and change parts if needed
• Perform visual inspection of the product and documentation
• Operate machinery designated by line
• Will report any material that does not meet high quality standards
• Require to complete and fill out documentation
• Report any issues with machinery or product including metal detector to upper management
• Will perform proper cleaning procedures for machine and floors between products and as needed
• Will eliminate any possible cross‑contamination of product in the area
• Responsible for wearing corresponding personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring his own safety and that of others, including hair nets, safety glasses, lab coats, safety shoes, etc.
• Maintains all equipment in good condition during any usage, storage and sanitization
• Keep good housekeeping practices throughout the company especially in assigned areas
• Must perform inspection of machinery including pre‑operational inspections
• Familiarize and obtain knowledge through operating systems (Red Zone)
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Preferred operating manufacturing machinery experience
• High School Diploma required
• Preferred food manufacturing environment
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience preferred
• Ability to work with positive attitude in a high stress environment
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must have good written and oral communication skills
• Flexible availability to work Saturdays due to business needs

The pay for this role in the state of NJ is $17.70/hr and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location.
