About the Role:

The Boiler Operator Red is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of industrial boilers within a facility, ensuring continuous steam and hot water supply to meet operational demands. This role requires vigilant monitoring of boiler systems, performing routine inspections, and making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. The Boiler Operator will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate logs and reports related to boiler operations, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities. Ultimately, the Boiler Operator Red plays a critical role in supporting facility operations by ensuring reliable and safe boiler functionality.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Boiler Operator Red certification/license as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years experience operating industrial boilers or related equipment.
• Strong understanding of boiler operation principles, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and operational procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in boiler maintenance or mechanical systems.
• Experience with computerized control systems and automated boiler monitoring software.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and facility utilities.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
• Completion of OSHA safety training or equivalent workplace safety programs.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor boiler systems, including starting, stopping, and adjusting controls to maintain proper pressure and temperature levels.
• Conduct regular inspections of boilers, burners, and auxiliary equipment to identify and address potential issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure equipment longevity and safety.
• Maintain detailed records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and safety checks in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, implementing corrective actions to prevent hazards or equipment damage.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies related to boiler operation.
