Forklift Operator Immediate Hire & Start

Bayonne, NJ -- $19/hour

This role involves safely operating stand-up or sit-down forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment to move, stack, load, unload, and stage pallets while accurately tracking inventory using scanners and computer systems. You support daily shipping, receiving, and material handling activities and assist with general housekeeping tasks to keep the facility clean, organized, and efficient.

• Operate traditional stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility.
• Handle pallets by stacking, loading, unloading, and staging them in designated areas.
• Use RF scanners and computer systems to scan inventory in and out and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Support shipping and receiving processes by moving, organizing, and staging inbound and outbound materials.
• Perform material handling tasks using equipment such as electric pallet jacks.
• Follow all safety procedures and complete a 2-hour paid safety training before starting on the floor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, cleaning, and general housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Communicate effectively in a bilingual environment to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with additional duties as required to support overall warehouse and manufacturing operations.

• 1–2 years of experience operating either a sit-down or traditional stand-up forklift in a warehouse environment.
• Proficiency using RF scanners and computer systems to scan inventory in and out.
• Hands-on experience handling pallets, including stacking, loading, unloading, and staging.
• Ability to work safely and follow established safety procedures and training.
• Bilingual communication skills.
• Comfort performing general facility tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, and organizing.

• Forklift certification for traditional stand-up or sit-down equipment is preferred.
• Experience using electric pallet jacks.
• Inventory control experience is a plus.
• Shipping and receiving experience is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to different tasks and support various warehouse and manufacturing operations.
• Basic computer literacy to work with inventory and scanning systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bayonne, NJ.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
