openwork is currently sourcing qualified candidates for an office administrator/ customer service support position with one of our valued clients in baytown, tx.
this role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys providing administrative support, assisting customers, and working in a fast-paced office environment.
position summarythe office administrator / customer service support professional will provide administrative assistance to the customer service team by managing customer communications, maintaining accurate documentation, generating reports, and supporting daily office operations. This position plays an important role in ensuring timely communication, organized workflows, and excellent customer service.
key responsibilities- manage the shared customer service email inbox and respond to customer inquiries.
- provide shipment updates and respond to documentation requests.
- prepare, distribute, and maintain documents including bills of lading (bols), certificates of analysis (coas), invoices, and order paperwork.
- route complex customer inquiries to the appropriate team members.
- generate shipment status reports and assist with order tracking.
- monitor shipment activity and communicate delays when necessary.
- perform accurate data entry and maintain records within the erp system (sap experience preferred).
- support daily office operations, including ordering office supplies and coordinating facility communications.
- work closely with customer service and logistics teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- assist with additional administrative projects as needed.
- high school diploma or ged required; associate degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of administrative, office support, or customer service experience.
- previous experience with sap or another erp system is preferred.
- proficiency in microsoft office 365, including outlook, excel, and word.
- strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- office-based position located in baytown, tx.
- full-time schedule during standard business hours.
- frequent computer and administrative work in a professional office setting.
pay: $18-$20 p/h
shift: mon-fri 8am-5pm
