Position OverviewThe Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine lubrication and maintenance services on a variety of vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of automotive systems, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a customer-focused attitude and a passion for automotive care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform oil changes, fluid checks, and other routine maintenance services on vehicles, including but not limited to, changing oil filters, topping off fluids, and replacing wiper blades.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate services to customers.
- Use diagnostic equipment to assess vehicle performance and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Adhere to safety and environmental regulations while handling automotive fluids and materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good condition.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers about their vehicle maintenance needs.
- Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used, following company procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and techniques related to automotive maintenance and repair.
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or training in automotive technology is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Lube Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to perform maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
