Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field

• Minimum 10 years of safety experience in a manufacturing or petrochemical environment
• Professional safety certification (e.g., CSP, CHST) preferred
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and HSE regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills

Job Description:

The Safety Superintendent is responsible for leading the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) program at a large-scale industrial facility. This role ensures compliance with all safety regulations, manages emergency preparedness, conducts incident investigations, and champions a proactive safety culture. The Superintendent will develop and implement HSE policies and training, lead safety committees, and serve as a liaison with contractors and external agencies.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong communication skills and hands-on leadership.

Work Schedule:

Monday–Friday, onsite; occasional after-hours or weekend emergency response required

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and enforce HSE policies and procedures

• Lead site emergency response efforts and training
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
• Coordinate contractor safety programs and orientations
• Promote a safety-first culture through training and engagement
• Maintain OSHA logs, documentation, and regulatory compliance
• Act as Incident Commander during emergency events
