Salary Range: $22.72 To $28.41 Hourly
RoleThe Mortgage Operations Specialist is responsible for all mortgage operations including quality, compliance, post-closing, servicing, shipping and reporting. Works with other mortgage staff and Vendors to support the goals and objectives of the Mortgage Department. Position must be eligible and obtain an NMLS#. The Mortgage Operations Specialist shall demonstrate an understanding of regulatory compliance requirements for all lending operations and shall be required to update that knowledge as necessary.
EssentialFunctions & Responsibilities
Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
EducationEquivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
Interpersonal SkillsA significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
Other SkillsExtensive knowledge of consumer and real estate lending practices and procedures. Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentWork is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to electronics work. May require periodic travel. There is exposure to potential hazardous conditions such as robbery. Employees are to receive detailed instructions and procedures to follow in order to minimize risk.
