- What You’ll Do
Our patient-focused Occupational Therapists evaluate individuals to improve motor function, reasoning abilities, and independence in daily living and work tasks, while helping them adapt to permanent functional changes. They also guide patients in selecting adaptive equipment when needed. This PRN role works day shifts as required and integrates company values into daily practice.
- Assess patients, set goals, and adjust treatment plans
- Plan discharges and communicate with patients and caregivers
- Collaborate with care teams to coordinate treatment
- Ensure safety and follow infection control standards
- What We're Looking For
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required.
- BLS/CPR Certification required.
- New grads encouraged to apply - though prior experience in a rehab hospital setting is preferred.
- What you need to know
- A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time.
- Both gross and precise motor functions.
- Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
- Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
- Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.
- Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
