IT Intern: Infrastructure & Software Development

Overview

JSW Steel USA is seeking to hire two motivated and eager-to-learn IT interns to join our team. One opportunity will focus on Support & Infrastructure
, while the other will focus on Software Development & Reporting
.

These internships are designed to provide hands-on experience with real-world business systems, manufacturing operations, reporting solutions, and IT infrastructure. Projects will be assigned based on each intern’s strengths, technical background, and demonstrated skills. Candidates are not expected to have experience in every area listed below.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or similar.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in both office and industrial (plant) environments.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Strong willingness to learn and take initiative.

The Support & Infrastructure Intern will assist with projects including VLAN assignments on access layer switches, WiFi heat mapping using Ekahau, server rack cable routing cleanup and organization, Active Directory cleanup, configuring new security cameras, new hire PC imaging and automation, cable making and cable runs, and PC and printer diagnostics and troubleshooting.

• Basic networking knowledge.
• Familiarity with IT support processes.
• Basic system administration experience.
• Troubleshooting mindset.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to work hands-on with hardware and infrastructure.

The Software Development & Reporting Intern will assist with creating SOPs for IT systems such as SAP/MM, documenting manufacturing systems, and supporting SAP customer data cleanup initiatives. The intern may also work on database table, stored procedure, and query cleanup projects, as well as help develop improved disaster recovery (DR) plans. Additional responsibilities may include supporting reporting projects for internal clients, front-end report writing, and other parties involved.

• Knowledge of SQL/database fundamentals.
• Ability create technical documentation and writing.
• Experience in SAP or ERP systems.
