Job Summary

Serves as a local resource to the Branch, Operations and Laboratory Managers for all health, safety and training programs for the company within the applicable geographical region. The chief goal is to protect the employees and the environment while ensuring compliance to company and industry policies, procedures and standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform all safety training for new hires and refresher training as guided by company and regulatory systems.
  • Perform/coordinate field inspection training for all roles assigned to field work.
  • Conduct facility wide monthly safety meetings for all employees of the respective location.
  • Conduct comprehensive on-site safety inspections / assessments as a part of a constant monitoring process.
  • Document all safety violations or unsafe conditions/activities and lead investigations and recommend courses of action for on-the-job accidents.
  • Maintain internal incident files, medical files (Drug & Alcohol), and external safety certifications according to respective geographical region regulations.
  • Provide training to ensure the proper implementation of appropriate safety and quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintain training records for operations, administrative and inspection staff.
  • Maintain calibration and field equipment inventory records for operations and field staff, and order supplies as necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
  • A high school degree or equivalent required - Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of related work experience.
  • Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
  • Strong multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
Required Experience

Working Conditions:

Office / Field Environment, Some travel required as needed, Available for guidance during off-hours.

Physical Requirements

Work is routinely performed in office and field environments, with occasional exposure to both an internal and external environment including inclement weather and varying temperatures. The qualified individual may be exposed to hazardous chemicals.
