1st Shift Outbound Team Lead; Mon-Thurs

Job Summary

The Outbound Team Leadmaintainsin-depth knowledge of our products and operating procedures and stays in regular contact with the shift manager and peers in each department to meet daily goals.

This positionidentifiesoperating issues and takes corrective action as needed; this includes receiving and providing clear directions, as well as serving as a role model of our culture to effectively communicate with employees and drive engagement.

• Ensure that all orders are printed and pickedin a timely manner;utilize the error log to review/address issues and track accountability
• Oversee pickers to ensure accuracy, picking is performed by layer, clean-as-you-go approach is taken, and stock skids are clear by the end of shift
• Ensure all transfers are complete din a timely mannerand interface with Receiving team as needed
• Coordinate pick-ups with all trucking companies to ensuretimelyscheduling
• Oversee daily operations in the department to ensurea high levelof productivity and quality while achieving operating goals; promote team adherence to Company policies and procedures
• Monitor and provide consistent feedback to employees on individual and team performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Conduct daily team meetings to update employees on work expectations, task assignments, bestpracticesand operating expectations
• Clearly communicate team goals, resolve problems as they arise, and answer any related questions
• Develop a cross-trained team that can flex into other departments or jobs as needed
• Maintaina high levelof communication with Outbound teams and management on a daily basis; partner with other team leads to flex hours where necessary
