Operations Manager
Purpose
The Bulk Packaging, Shipping & Receiving Night Superintendent is responsible for leading night shift operations related to bulk packaging, loading/unloading, shipping, receiving, and inventory movement. This position ensures all night shift production and warehouse activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, ISO approved work instructions, and regulatory guidelines. The Night Superintendent has oversight responsibilities for departmental Supervisors, Team leads, forklift operators, packaging staff, and shipping/receiving personnel and ensures accuracy of documentation and maximizing productivity.
Areasof Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
- Oversee overnight Supervisory and EHS functions in a fast-paced warehouse/packaging environment.
- Provide direct supervision to warehouse staff, packaging line Supervisors and Team Leads.
- Monitor daily workloads/goals for warehouse and packaging staff.
- Promote positive employee relations, while ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks with staff to discuss workload and safety.
- Work in a safe manner and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE.
- Review and approve timecards.
- Review and approve PTO requests.
- Responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluations within department.
- Ensure that we have a productive and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with Warehouse and Packaging Manager to ensure productivity, quality, and safety measures are met.
- Work in collaboration with Director Operations and Rail Manager to strategically plan workflow and production schedules.
- Work in collaboration with Night Superintendent to plan workflow, inventory, and staff supervision.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA)
To perform this role successfully, an individual must have experience achieving desired result(s) in their areas of responsibility. The requirements listed below are representative of observable behaviors and essential knowledge, skill, and abilities required of a successful incumbent within our culture.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a management position
- Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 Compliance and Execution
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, bulk materials packaging, and specifically FF&S equipment
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good math, language, and reading skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse function and operating policies.
- Demonstrated experience in handling rail car movement for production scheduling.
- Demonstrated experience in FF&S packaging
- MS Office Suite proficiency.
- Excellent comprehension of industry HSE and Environmental protocols and practices
- Education:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope of responsibility

Experience: - Microsoft suite:
Outlook, Excel - Required (Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint preferred)
The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience and therefore must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
- This job primarily operates in a warehouse setting and must be able to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.
