Overview

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Machine Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic machinery and related mechanical systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on mechanical ability, and the ability to troubleshoot complex hydraulic issues in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on hydraulic machines, pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, and related components.
  • Inspect equipment to identify mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Disassemble and reassemble hydraulic systems using proper tools, techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Replace defective parts, seals, fittings, hoses, and other components as needed.
  • Test and calibrate hydraulic systems to ensure proper pressure, flow, and performance.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and maintenance documentation.
  • Operate forklifts, hoists, and other shop equipment safely when handling heavy machinery.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Hydraulic Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, fluid power principles, and mechanical repair practices.
  • Ability to diagnose issues using gauges, meters, and hydraulic testing equipment.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in hydraulics or industrial maintenance preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, or heavy equipment repair.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems, welding, or basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
Work Environment
  • Industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Exposure to machinery, hydraulic fluids, and shop tools
  • Requires standing, bending, lifting, and working with hands-on mechanical tasks
