SUMMARYThe Planning Manager will lead production planning, material planning, and replenishment activities to translate customer demand into executable plans and drive alignment across procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain functions to meet delivery commitments.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop, maintain, and communicate production plans and schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and priorities.
- Translate orders, forecasts, and planning signals into production and replenishment plans.
- Adjust schedules in response to disruptions and constraints.
- Partner with procurement, replenishment, and manufacturing to ensure material availability.
- Identify bottlenecks, recommend throughput improvements, and drive process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to align priorities and communicate changes.
- Release, manage, track work orders, and provide status reporting.
- Analyze schedule performance metrics and improve planning effectiveness.
- Lead and coach the Materials Organization and Replenishment teams.
- Conduct performance management and compensation administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in production planning, supply planning, materials planning, or related manufacturing planning role.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems required.
- Prior team leadership experience preferred.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Effective cross‑functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
