Job Tasks:
- Safety / Quality:
Ensures all safety, environmental and operational procedures are followed. - Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements
- Maintains the confidentiality of company, customer and personnel information.
- Performs all pre-operational checks to ensure equipment is fit for purpose. Reports any damage or defects as discovered.
- Performs the duties required by forklift operators depending on the department.
- Takes necessary precautions to avoid damaging customer, company, or 3rd party property/equipment/product/etc.
- Performs additional duties
Qualification and
Experience:
- Must have experience operating a gas-powered sit-down forklift or:
- Must have experience operating a diesel-powered forklift
- 2 years' experience working with forklifts
- Certified on a forklift
- Must be able to double stack single pallets (preferable)
- Container loading experience (preferable)
- Must be able to speak and read English
- Must be able to do basic math
- Must have experience moving large loads assigned by management.
