Purpose
Monitor and maintain quality of all products produced at RMA Baytown in accordance with Quality, Laboratory, Environmental and Safety systems while providing excellent support to production.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
- General Policy
- Mold & test plastic specimens.
- Provide production process support when required;
Confidence to shut down an extruder when a quality concern makes it necessary. - Support manufacturing by assisting with re-work, formulation, SPC reaction plan adjustments and SOC changes as necessary to produce product within specification.
- Prepare data for lot certifications and enter SPC data from off-line testing.
- Prepare customer samples as requested for external testing and customer shipment.
- Perform in-process color sample preparation, measurement, and pigment adjustments where necessary.
- Maintain/improve laboratory cleanliness & organization.
- Laboratory equipment PM’s and verifications.
- Support receiving staff with raw material inspection, testing and approval.
- Train, coach, assist and verify manufacturing personnel to be able to properly perform in-process product inspections.
- Follow all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures.
- Apply the RMA 7S for Success standards to the work areas and all tasks.
- Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.
- Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manger.
Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent - required.
- 1-2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment (plastic experience preferred).
- Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Ability to manage time, organize, and set priorities.
- Forklift experience required.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

- Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
- Must be comfortable working in a non-climate controlled environment.
- Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
- All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.
