Assistant Wellness Director Responsibilities
  • Maintain and implement nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice, company policies, and facility philosophy of care while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff, monitoring implementation and achieving results.
  • Conduct resident assessments and recommend appropriate service packages to residents and families.
  • Ensure delivery of compassionate quality care by maintaining adequate services, staff coverage, cleanliness, absence of odors, prevention of pressure wounds, and overall physical, mental, and psychosocial function.
  • Apply knowledge of Key Clinical Quality Indicators.
  • Review daily 24‑hour reports from each unit to guarantee timely and effective responses to significant changes in condition, transfers, discharges, restraints, injuries, potential abuse or neglect, medication errors, loss of resident property, or any evidence of dissatisfaction.
  • Listen to and document significant changes in residents' conditions, including incidents, injuries, medication errors, property loss, and dissatisfaction per agency policies and state regulations.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Two years of professional nursing experience in a senior living care setting.
  • Two years of supervisory/management experience with direct care staff.
  • In some states, the position may be unlicensed (WI, TX, SC).
