QC Pipe Yard Inspector

We're looking for a highly motivated and self-directed QC Inspector.Responsible for ensuring that the product is within quality standards and specifications. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining quality and safety standards; visual inspections measurements and functional testing of the product; recording data/test results to validate conformance; and assisting with quality related reports, reviews, and audits as needed.

QC Inspector Responsibilities:

• Performs inspections of Induction Bends,Ductile Iron (DI), Carbon, Alloy Stainless Steel and Sawpipes and Tubes, finished company products according to well defined criteria and specifications.
• Collect all the required instruments for inspection from the QC Lab.
• Uses measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gages, optical inspection and computerized inspection devices as needed.
• Rejects and returns nonconforming materials and/or products that do not meet applicable specifications and requirements.
• Documents inspection results by completing applicable inspection (red tagging) reports and logs.
• Maintains manufacturing and inspection related documentation.
• Supports the quality department with reviews, reports, and audits as needed.
• Participates in quality control/assurance related activities. Preforming in-process inspections. (pipe, fittings, flanges, valves, tubing, structural steel)
• Participates in performance improvement activities, utilizes resources efficiently and effectively takes responsibility for own learning needs.
• Collect all the required instruments for inspection from the QC Lab.
• Fills out inspection results and test results into ERP Software.

Qualifications:

• 6+months of relevant work experience.
• Basic Math Skills
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
• Basic computer skills including, Microsoft, Excel and Word.
• Maintain good housekeeping / follows safety measures.
• Valid DL or
• Yard/Shop Environment; must be able to work in all-weather elements.
