You will be able to apply your knowledge and education to actual R&D projects through support of new product/technology development that helps solving real world problems.

The internship program will be in the summer of 2027, offered at our Baytown, TX site and lasts approximately 12 weeks.
Major ResponsibilitiesAs an intern in the Innovation Management, you will work with the site transformation team to support our business unit’s circular economy targets, new application and product development teams through formulation, processing, design and testing of Covestro materials and applications. The selected individual may have the opportunity to work with senior chemists and engineers in a fast‑paced technology environment and become actively involved in the day‑to‑day operations at the site or supporting of new technology development.
WHOYOU ARE Basic Qualifications
- Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Completion of Sophomore year or higher
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Chemistry major
- Completion of Junior year
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills including an ability to interact and establish strong working relationships with diverse individuals.
- Project coordination with the ability to be proactive and identify creative, effective technical solutions.
- Demonstrated PC skills and ability to work within Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
