Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team!

Compensation: $10.00 to $14.00 per hour
. We offer a commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process, with potential to earn commissions in addition to your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction, and set the tone for a customer-centric environment.

You will analyze store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met and participate in asset protection programs, promotions, and new customer acquisition. This position involves working with a wide variety of products and services.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. The actual pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards
  • Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels
  • Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control and security procedures for loans
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, and reporting
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans
  • Complete assigned tasks and self-development training
  • Communicate store mission and profit objectives to employees
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods (standing, bending, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting)
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise others
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
  • May be asked to assist customers in exterior areas or retrieve products stored outside
  • Minimum Age: 18
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as needed
  • Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours per week
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Cash handling experience required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense

Commission Plan

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
