Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Pay rate: $10.00 to $14.00 per hour.

Commission structure:
Earn 2‑8% on transactions, plus an hourly base rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawn Broker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions involving jewelry, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and general merchandise.

• Greet and interact with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Perform non‑management open and close procedures.
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and display of merchandise.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle all cash and negotiable items following established procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers, demonstrating respect and effective communication.
• Participate in all assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• Willingness to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with customers, be team‑oriented, and serve people.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
