This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast‑tracking into a Store Management position. It requires a minimum of 1 year of retail management experience.
Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $7.86 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. The trainee is accountable for day‑to‑day store operations and promoting a positive, productive environment. The role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop employees, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations. It sets the tone for a customer‑centric environment, analyzes financial statements, supports asset protection, promotes the business, and targets new customer acquisition across a diverse merchandise mix.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent via company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers, merchandise counts, and ensure asset protection procedures are followed.
- Maintain asset protection through inventory control, property safety, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and enterprise reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to preserve loan integrity.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development.
- Communicate clearly with employees to align them with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Stay up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
- The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the Store Manager’s absence.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of performing tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
- Demonstrated supervisory ability.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- May need to assist customers or retrieve products outside the store premises.
- Minimum age 18.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
