Description

Hourly pay $10.00 to $13.00 per hour with a commission structure that pays for every transaction processed. The retail sales associate can earn up to 8% on sales, which could average an additional $2.82 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. Responsibilities include handling cash and negotiable items, maintaining merchandise displays, and completing required training.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Keeps sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and work team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule available, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate point‑of‑sale systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance.

Payrates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
