Researcher II

Our client in the oil and gas industry, is seeking a Researcher II to join their team. As a Researcher II, you will be part of the dedicated research and development department supporting advanced scientific investigations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate curiosity, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Researcher II
Location: Baytown, TX
Duration: 12 months (potential to extend)

• Conduct basic theoretical and experimental scientific investigations to acquire new knowledge.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and deploy cutting‑edge technologies.
• Operate laboratory equipment including batch autoclaves and high‑throughput systems for olefin polymerizations.
• Maintain laboratory safety and equipment, ensuring reliable and accurate experimental results.
• Analyze, interpret, and document experimental data, providing timely updates to research leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Marine Science, Molecular Ecology, Bioinformatics, Toxicology, or a related field.
• Experience with laboratory work, analytical chemistry, and field sampling techniques.
• Familiarity with high throughput equipment and software is a plus.
• Proficiency in using drybox or Schlenk techniques and capable of lifting 10 pounds safely.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow detailed instructions.
