Scaffold Builder Carpenter - Austin Industrial (Baytown, TX)

This person will construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required in the Scaffolding craft. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities- Determines type of scaffold needed.
- Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
- Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
- Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the required dimensions.
- Hoists scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structure.
- Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
- Secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
- Adheres to all OSHA, site‑specific, and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting and navigating the scaffolding.
- Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
- Dismantles scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
- Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling.
- Works at heights with no fear.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience – 3 years of experience in scaffolding is preferred.
Certification/License – A valid TWIC Card and driver’s license. NCCER is preferred but not required.
