• Lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment
• Attaching loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and other related equipment
• Able to manually handle and securely apply rigging equipment
• Attach and detach loads effectively
• Monitor and maintain all rigging equipment
• Communicate effectively with the rigging team (other riggers and crane operator)
• Familiar with standard crane hand signals
• Assess weights of loads and equipment needed to lift safely

• Actively participate in a strong safety culture
• Recognize safety hazards and risks
• Participate in onsite safety meetings
• Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures
• Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite
• Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work
• Maintain a positive attitude and work in a team environment

• Work in outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat, humidity, cold, and high elevations
• Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs
• Stand for extended periods (up to 11 hours per day) with breaks given in 2.5‑hour intervals
• Use arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending regularly
• Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and tools

• At least 1.5 years of experience as a rigger or ironworker
• NCCER Rigger Certification Level 1
• Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices
• Knowledgeable of crane signals (hand and verbal)
• Travel required with extended periods away from home in remote areas
• Work shifts up to 12 hours per day and up to 7 days per week when needed by project schedule
• Meet all physical demands of the job

• Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment
• More than 3 years of experience as an ironworker or rigger
• NCCER Rigger Certification Level 2 or higher
