A well-established mechanical contractor in Houston is hiring an experienced BAS Controls Technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair building automation and direct digital control systems across commercial facilities.
4+ years of commercial HVAC experience required
DDC controls experience required
Valid driver's license with clean MVR to operate a company vehicle
Overview:This is a strong fit for someone who understands both the HVAC side and the controls side: diagnosing system issues, working with controllers, verifying sequences, communicating with customers, and keeping commercial buildings running the way they are supposed to run. Controls Platforms:
- Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
- Honeywell
- Johnson Controls Metasys
- Siemens
- Alerton
- Trane Tracer
- Carrier Comfort Link
- Experience with similar commercial BAS/DDC platforms will also be considered.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Hands-on DDC controls / building automation troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read and understand control diagrams, wiring schematics, sequences of operation, and HVAC system layouts
- Strong troubleshooting skills across both mechanical HVAC and controls systems
- Universal EPA refrigerant recovery certification
- Valid drivers license with clean MVR to operate a company vehicle
- Strong communication, organization, and customer-facing skills
