Position: Crane Rigger - ( Houston / Baytown, TX)

The role involves safely operating and maintaining heavy‑lift machinery, ensuring proper crane selection and setup, and conducting inspections and routine maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Inspect and assess ground conditions and any possible overhead obstructions.
  • Maintain equipment through daily inspections and routine maintenance, including minor repairs.
  • Maintain logs and records of operational activities.
  • Communicate visually and by radio with ground operators, following best practices and site safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers, and mobile cranes.
  • Current TWIC card.
  • Successful completion of post‑offer drug and physical screenings.
  • Dependable, reliable, and willing to work overtime when necessary.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials, or instructions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions and maintain records.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Strong depth perception and quick reaction time.
  • Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move a minimum of 65 lbs.
  • Ability to follow hand signals and maintain logs while operating machinery.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
