CDL Crane Operator; Houston​/Baytown, TX

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, ensuring the right selection and set up for crane, lift, or hoist.
• Inspect and assess ground conditions and any possible overhead obstructions.
• Maintain equipment through daily inspections, including routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintain logs and records of operational activities.
• Maintain visual and radio communications with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations, and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quickly.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers, and mobile cranes.
• Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Must successfully pass post‑offer drug and physical screenings and meet mandatory safety background requirements.
• Dependable and reliable with willingness to work overtime when necessary.
• Must hold a current NCCCO Crane Operators License for qualified equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials, or instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain mandatory records.
• Must have the aptitude to work well within a team environment.

• Strong depth perception and quick reaction time.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 65lbs. occasionally and 50lbs. regularly.
• Visual capability to follow hand signals, maintain logs, and operate machinery.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
