Crane Rigger - Project ( Houston​/Baytown, TX

Sterling Crane LLC, a member of Marmon Holdings, is looking for Crane Riggers to join our team. Our company, founded in 1954, operates and sells heavy lift equipment across North America.

• Efficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Select and set up the appropriate crane, lift, or hoist based on the job requirements.
• Inspect and assess ground conditions and potential overhead obstructions.
• Maintain equipment through daily inspections, including routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Keep accurate logs and records of operational activities.
• Communicate visually and via radio with ground operators, following best practices and site safety regulations.
• Respond promptly and clearly to questions and instructions.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers, and mobile cranes.
• Valid TWIC card.
• Successful completion of post‑offer drug and physical screenings, meeting company background requirements.
• Dependable and flexible, willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials, or instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent teamwork ability.

• Strong depth perception and quick reaction time.
• Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move a minimum of 65 lbs.
• Visual capability to follow hand signals and maintain logs.
• Can sit for long periods.
• Can work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.

• Daily per diem.
