Forklift Operator – Baytown II, TX

Responsibilities
  • Operate an extended reach forklift to transport materials within the jobsite.
  • Transport pallets, boxes, pipe and other large objects as required.
  • Interpret hand signals to determine placement of materials.
  • Unload material shipments upon arrival and stage them in designated areas.

  • Actively participate in a strong safety culture.
  • Recognize safety hazards and risks.
  • Participate in on‑site safety meetings.
  • Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures.
  • Remain aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite.
  • Be punctual and ready to work each day.
  • Display a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
Physical Demands
  • Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat, humidity, cold, and high elevations.
  • Lift and carry awkward objects up to 60 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods up to 11 hours per day; breaks given in 2.5‑hour intervals.
  • Use arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending regularly.
  • Have good hand‑eye coordination.
  • Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools.
Basic Qualifications
  • At least 1.5 years of experience as a forklift operator.
  • Travel is required, with extended periods away from home in remote areas at times.
  • Willing and able to attend mandatory safety meetings.
  • Willing and able to work in a team environment.
  • Willing and able to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week.
  • Willing and able to meet basic physical requirements.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Three years of experience as a forklift operator.
  • Proficiency in operating other large equipment such as skid steer, tractor, track hoe, backhoe, or excavator.
  • Previous experience in oil and gas construction.
