Carpenter, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Brown & Root Industrial Services -  - Responsibilities:
Build wooden structures such as stairs, concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary frame shelters according to blueprints or oral instructions; lay out and install partitions and cabinet work;
Examine blueprints, sketches or building plans to determine materials required and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated;
Select, load, and haul job material to work site;
Prepare layout of form or fixture to be fabricated using lines or grades;
Measure boards, timbers, or plywood and mark cutting lines; shape materials to size with handsaws, chisels, planes;
Verify accuracy of structure with transit, plumb bob, square and level;
Operate carpentry hand tools (hammers, levels, squares, screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, drills);
Nail cleats across boards to construct concrete-forming, brace forms with timbers and anchor bolts for piers/footings/walls;
Erect frame work for structures and lay sub-flooring; cut and assemble timbers for trestles and cofferdams;
Erect scaffolding and install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways;
Construct forms, chutes, and align form panels for pouring concrete and grout;
Fit and install pre-fabricated window frames, doors, weather stripping, interior/exterior trim and hardware;
Fit and nail sheathing on outer walls/roofs; set and brace anchor bolts;
Perform minor maintenance or cleaning with tools; tie rebar as needed; operate electric and pneumatic tools; may rig materials;
Observe and comply with safety and project rules; perform other duties as required
