Welder

GFL Environmental is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Welder to support safe, reliable operation of our trucks and heavy equipment. In this role, you'll perform structural and component welding, fabrication, and repair on waste and recycling fleet assets, using MIG, TIG, and stick processes. You'll inspect damage, interpret blueprints, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. Working closely with mechanics and operations, you'll help minimize downtime, keep essential services running, and support GFL's commitment to safety, sustainability, and community service.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on fleet trucks and heavy equipment
• Fabricate, repair, and modify metal components, bodies, and frames
• Inspect damage, diagnose repair needs, and document work performed
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and repair instructions
• Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Collaborate with mechanics and operations to minimize equipment downtime
• Maintain welding tools, equipment, and work areas in safe condition
• Follow company safety policies, PPE requirements, and regulatory guidelines
