Openwork is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Lead to oversee shop maintenance operations for a premier chemical and industrial foam facility in Baytown, TX. You will serve as the technical anchor on the floor—diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues, executing preventive maintenance, tracking department KPIs, and guiding one junior technician. This role is ideal for a skilled Industrial Technician or Journeyman ready to step into a working supervisor role while remaining active on the floor.

• Hands‑On Maintenance & Diagnostics:
  Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform repairs on production equipment, and execute tasks using blueprints, schematics, and repair manuals.
• Team Guidance:
  Assign daily tasks, schedule activities, and directly mentor one Maintenance Technician.
• Preventive Maintenance & KPIs:
  Maintain PM tracking tools, execute routine maintenance to minimize downtime, and report on maintenance KPIs to leadership.
• Parts & Vendor Management:
  Manage spare parts inventory, handle procurement for maintenance supplies, and coordinate outside subcontract service technicians.
• Safety & Facility Oversight:
  Implement maintenance safety protocols, ensure proper PPE compliance (steel‑toed boots, eyewear, chemical gloves), and support facility upgrades.

• Experience:
  
  5+ years of plant/industrial maintenance experience, including demonstrated experience leading projects, floor tasks, or junior technicians.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical parts catalogs.
• Accountability:
  Proven success managing PM schedules, inventory tracking, and working with external vendors.
• Physical Capabilities:
  Ability to stand, walk, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs in a non-climate‑controlled manufacturing environment.
• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent required; certifications in maintenance disciplines preferred.
