Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Now Hiring Certified Reach Truck Operators! PRT Staffing is hiring skilled Reach Truck Operators to support a leading cold storage warehouse operation in Baytown, TX. This is a 2nd shift opportunity with consistent hours, strong leadership onsite, and the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance.
What You’ll Be Doing- Operate reach trucks to move, load, and store product safely
- Pick, stage, and organize orders for shipment
- Work in receiving, selecting, and picking functions (cross‑training required)
- Verify product accuracy, labels, and quantities
- Follow all safety procedures and operating standards
- Report any safety concerns or near‑miss incidents proactively
- Support overall warehouse operations as needed
- Cold storage facility with multiple temperature zones:
- Cooler (~30°F)
- Freezer (~15°F)
- Blast freeze (as low as –10°F)
- PPE and freezer gear provided (must be worn at all times)
- Fast‑paced and performance‑driven environment
- Minimum 2 years of reach truck experience (recent and consistent)
- Ability to safely operate equipment in a cold environment
- Ability to lift and move product (up to 50 lbs regularly; heavier loads with equipment assistance)
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
- Experience in cold storage or food distribution warehouses
- Familiarity with RF scanners or warehouse systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- This is a safety‑sensitive position
- Zero tolerance for unsafe equipment practices or cell phone usage while operating equipment
- Strong attendance is critical for success in this role
