Forklift Operator Training Program
TALKE USA Inc. is seeking motivated candidates for its Forklift Operator Training Program, designed to train and develop individuals with limited or no forklift experience into skilled, certified forklift operators. This program combines hands-on training, safety education, and career progression.
Program RequirementsApplicants who have passed pre-employment and agree with the below program requirements are eligible to apply:
- Have successfully completed pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screening, Background Check, Medical assessment, and Safety courses
- Possess a valid up-to-date driver's license
- Be able to pass random drug and alcohol screenings throughout tenure of employment
- Successfully pass annual background checks throughout tenure of employment
- Be willing to complete a Forklift certification training program
- Commitment to remain with the company as a forklift operator for at least 2 years
- Maintain safety, performance, quality, and attendance expectations
- Adhere to policies and procedures
- No transferring to different departments or positions while enrolled in the program, unless there's a business need
Strong commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a hazard-free environment
Ability to accurately handle materials, follow instructions, and prevent errors
Consistently show up on time and complete tasks responsibly
Open to learning new skills, equipment, and processes
Maintain concentration while operating equipment and working in active environments
Follow company policies and maintain professional standards
18 years or older, have a valid driver's license and legally able to work in the U.S., pass a drug screen, physical and background check.
Job TasksFollow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies
Identify workplace hazards, risks, and accident prevention measures
Conduct pre-operational forklift inspections and report issues
Maintain compliance with load limits, stability requirements, and operational guidelines
Safely operate forklifts for loading, unloading, and transporting materials
Execute safe loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage or injury
Maintain control and stability using proper driving techniques
Perform routine checks on forklift equipment (battery, fuel, tires, controls)
Follow proper charging and refueling procedures
Support daily activities including inventory movement and organization
Understand material handling processes and workflow efficiency
Assist with shipping, receiving, and storage operations
Follow operational procedures for productivity and accuracy
Practice active listening and professional verbal/non-verbal communication
Collaborate effectively to complete tasks and meet deadlines
Participate in team-building activities and daily coordination efforts
Demonstrate professional conduct, ethics, and accountability
Follow company policies regarding behavior, attendance, and performance
Manage workplace boundaries and handle difficult conversations appropriately
Participate in training, evaluations, skills assessments, and performance improvement activities
Demonstrate competency in forklift operation and safety procedures, after proper training and coaching
Achieve certification requirements upon successful program completion
Performs additional duties assigned by management
