Inventory Specialist - Distribution

Purpose of Role

The Inventory Associate will be responsible for a wide variety of inventory activities to include but not limited to maintain ing accurate inventory, p erform and/or lead cycle counts, assist in trouble shooting and offer insight with other departments. The Inventory Associate will work in collaboration with other warehouse staff to ensure processes and safety requirements are maintained .

• Collaborate with Inventory/Quality Manager to ensure all daily activities are discussed and goals are set .
• Collaborate with Inventory team members to ensure daily goals are met .
• Work with warehouse personnel to ensure and maintain inventory accuracy on the floor and rack locations.
• Work with office personnel to ensure and maintain inventory accuracy in warehouse management system .
• Ensure packaging supplies are accurately received in and managed on the floor .
• P erform cycle counts on daily /weekly basis .
• Work with packaging personnel to insure accurate inventory handling and placement
• Maintain “Power User” status with “RF” functions.

  -Work area and break down pallets for shipment .
• Consolidate partial lots when needed.
• Maintain equipment used to manage inventory.
• Research and adjust inventory in warehouse management system accordingly .

  -Work area is clean and organized .
• Work with the Inventory/Quality Manager to develop meaningful KPIs.
• Assist with any inventory floor and rack counts as needed .
• Perform any additiona l duties as assigned by Ravago Baytown Management .

• Minimum 2 year s industry experience .
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Good math, language, and reading skills
• Functional knowledge of a warehouse environment
• Considerate and respectful to all team members
• Able to follow instructions given for daily tasks

• High School Diploma/GED

• A variety of standing, sitting and walking is required throughout the day , including extended periods of time working outside on your feet
• Able to lift 55 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse setting
