Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for the direct management of shift supervisors, and provides leadership and training to team members. This role ensures that all shifts are properly staffed and able to execute the daily workload.

Work Hours

Monday to Friday from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, 2 Saturdays a month from 07:00 AM to 01:00 PM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assure all shifts and functions are properly staffed to execute varied work volume and manage flow of orders to the floor to optimize operations for approximately 25 employees in a 100,000 square foot facility.
  • Develop, maintain and manage facility quality processes.
  • Ensure on‑time shipping performance; work closely with supervisors and managers to ensure receipts and shipments meet standards.
  • Manage daily/weekly/monthly quality and productivity reporting.
  • Supervise realignment activities to ensure maximum optimization of the facility.
  • Manage operational activities to ensure DC layout and continuous improvement activities support goals of the operation.
  • Provide direct supervision to shift supervisors and hold them accountable for performance and that of their teams.
  • Provide leadership, training and supervision to 25–50 team members.
  • Continuously work toward increasing the leadership capability of the team and driving professional growth.
  • Handle all facility/equipment maintenance and supplies.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and oversee safety compliance.
  • Perform daily cycle counts, root‑cause analysis, findings and develop solutions to improve warehouse inventory health.
  • Coordinate, execute and improve annual physical inventory.
  • Oversee the Slabs Team as required.
  • Oversee multiple shift operations.
Education and/or Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Supervised at least 15 team members.
  • 5 years of Distribution Center operations experience.
  • Lean manufacturing principles highly desired.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Related industry experience: natural stone, tile or hard flooring preferred.
  • Ability to present operational data to business and leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change while improving efficiencies and processes; capable of adapting quickly to changing business needs.
  • Strong knowledge of distribution and warehouse management applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on logistics or operations management.
  • 5–10 years of specific relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial abilities.
  • Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Creative problem‑solving and process improvements.
  • Strong teamwork skills across the organization.
  • Excellent people and time‑management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills at all levels across functions.
  • Proactive, confident in managing ambiguity, and able to conceptualize and think strategically.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
