Overview

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accountant in Beachwood, OH.

Summary:

The Accounting Consultant will be responsible for managing and overseeing general accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This includes preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial statements, and supporting audits. The role also involves assisting with budgeting, cost accounting, and compliance with GAAP standards. This individual reports to the VP of Finance.

• General Ledger & Financial Reporting:
  Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Perform monthly and year-end closing activities
• Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and reasonableness

• Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments
• Record customer payments and manage bank deposits

• Reconciliations:
  Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies

• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  Assist in annual budget preparation and monthly variance analysis
• Provide financial data to support strategic decision-making

• Compliance & Audit:
  Maintain adherence to GAAP and internal controls
• Prepare documentation for external audits and regulatory filings

• Special Projects:
  Support cost accounting activities and operational reporting
• Participate in process improvement initiatives

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage Intacct) and intermediate Excel skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
