Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Revenue Recognition COE Lead Analyst.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you’ll do:The Revenue Recognition COE Lead Analyst ensures accurate US GAAP (ASC 606) revenue recognition for organizational arrangements, handling complex revenue accounting including contract review, monthly close, and journal entries while maintaining compliance with company policies and SOX controls and supporting process and system improvements. This role works closely with CoE leadership, Finance, and IT to maintain accurate revenue reporting and assist with automation initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:- Prepare and post revenue‑related journal entries in compliance with ASC 606.
- Support and coordinate contract review and identify performance obligations for standard and non‑standard arrangements.
- Partner with the business and operations finance teams to determine percent complete/milestones and project margins to ensure accurate and timely recognition.
- Reconcile revenue subledger to the general ledger and investigate variances.
- Support monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain documentation for SOX controls and assist in audit requests.
- Ensure adherence to company revenue recognition policies and procedures.
Required (Basic)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Accounting.
- Only candidates currently located within a 50‑mile radius of Beachwood, OH (with Active Duty Military Service members exempt) will be considered; relocation assistance is not available.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
- Experience in public accounting or accounting corporate roles.
- CPA or equivalent certification.
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 principles and application.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and revenue automation tools.
- Advanced proficiency with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and process automation.
- Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts in clear, business‑friendly language.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Requires the ability to be flexible, adaptable, and to deal with ambiguity and change.
- 10% travel required.
