We are seeking a Finish Coordinator for our current development project based in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the punch list process on projects within Procore and work closely with the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, Subcontractors, Property Managers, Architects, and Owners. You will also be required to lead subcontractors and finish the punch list to an acceptable level while remaining on schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Become familiar with the project documents and the finish selections for the project.
  • Become familiar with the project scheduled and required delivery dates for each phase of the project.
  • Set up the project punch tool in Procore to utilize as intended.
  • Create and manage the contractors punch list, this is inclusive of utilizing the MHL standard unit readiness checklist.
  • Enforce the completion of work as dictated by the project schedule.
  • Communicate schedule and unit readiness with Property Management and Owner and schedule any owner/final walks.
  • Notify the project team of any accelerations or delay to the unit walk and turnover schedule.
  • Participate in daily and weekly project progress meetings.
  • Ensure that punch lists are completed 100% and ready for sign off and acceptance.
  • Assist with overall site cleanliness, access, quality, and security measures.
  • Responsible for final sign off of the units and formal turnover of any keys, garage
  • door openers, and any other miscellaneous items.
Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the construction industry, preferably in the multi-family housing market sector.
  • Must understand the construction industry and job site safety requirements.
  • Ability to understand and read plans, specs, schedules, and project documents. Proficient with using Procore, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
  • Must have dependable transportation to the site and is required to have a phone.
  • The working hours for this position can vary and, at times, will include working on the weekend or evening to ensure the project schedule is maintained and deadlines are met.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with fellow MHL staff, subcontractors, design partners and inspectors.
  • Strong problem solving and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Extremely organized and the ability to keep accurate records and reports.
